Our Women’s House- group has been running for over a decade to provide a forum for the women in the Church to come together for fellowship and to explore their faith. We meet each school term for four consecutive Mondays from 8- 9.30pm. We take turns to host these meetings, with the host providing drinks and nibbles. The relaxed atmosphere of a home provides the informal setting where we can relax and ask the “silly” question.
Each series of meetings has a topic which we as a group choose, this gives our discussion focus. Over the years we have looked at topics as diverse as Women in the Bible to the Old and New Testament timeline, none of us are experts but we all want to broaden our knowledge of the Bible and to explore what Faith means for us. We often use film to give us discussion topics and so have shared many good films together.
In an effort to make a contribution we support organisations like the Red Cross by hosting coffee mornings which are not only great fun but have helped to raise significant funds for this worthwhile charity. We have also climbed a munro and had a sponsored walk all for charity which were great fun and also gave us the opportunity to include friends and family from out with the House-group.
